Grants to organizations

ELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS

  • A nonprofit organization duly registered in Canada.

Under the program, Canadian non-profit organizations duly incorporated under federal, provincial, or territorial laws are eligible to apply. All applicants must provide their incorporation number and their Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business number when applying for funding.

Or

  • Band Councils

And

  • Have been legally in existence for at least three (3) years without interruption as of the date of the application, and have been conducting business since its registration.

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS

To be eligible for funding under the VIF Program – Organizational Grants component, your project must: ​

  • Contribute to the program's objectives.
  • Target an audience of young people aged 14 to 30, or a subset of this group.
  • Take place entirely in Canada.
  • The program will be conducted primarily in person (at least 80% of the activities must be in person), although certain components may be conducted virtually before or after.
  • Be produced in French.
  • Young people must be directly involved and play an active role in the project (design, implementation, and evaluation).
