The VIF Program Supports 13 New Youth Projects in French

Ottawa, March 17 – Réseau dialogue is pleased to announce the 13 non-profit organizations selected under the Organization Grants stream of the VIF Program for 2026–2027. Taking place from coast to coast, these initiatives were selected from 159 projects submitted following the call for proposals launched on December 17. Only 8% of the applications received were funded, highlighting the strong interest and the real need within communities for initiatives such as the VIF Program.

Through funding totaling $760,000, these organizations will offer youth aged 14 to 30 meaningful opportunities to come together, exchange ideas, support one another, and engage in French across the country.

Quote

“We warmly thank all the organizations that submitted grant applications to the VIF Program. We congratulate the 13 recipient organizations. Through their various projects, these organizations will be able to reach youth aged 14 to 30, strengthen their linguistic security, and foster exchanges in French. The large number of applications received, as well as the richness of the proposals, demonstrates the importance of the program and the needs on the ground. While many projects proposed inspiring initiatives, our limited resources and the members of the youth selection committee had to make difficult choices.”

— Ajà Besler, Executive Director, Réseau dialogue

Réseau dialogue would also like to thank the selection committee for their commitment and valuable contribution to this process.
